Chilhowee Geocaching

This activity is LOTS of fun.  Think of it as a teasure hunt.  We look for our caches outside in other locations (maybe even outside of Chilhowee), so the group only meets during Spring & Summer.

Who can join?

What is Geocaching . . .

Geocaching is a real-world, outdoor treasure hunting game using GPS-enabled devices. Participants navigate to a specific set of GPS coordinates and then attempt to find the geocache (container) hidden at that location.

Rules:

1.If you take something from the geocache (or "cache"), leave something of equal or greater value.
2.Write about your find in the cache logbook.

What are the challenges?

Go somewhere, do something. That is the basic idea behind Geocaching Challenges. You might be challenged to hike the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, sing a song in the middle of Times Square, or take a picture of yourself walking through the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin.
